Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a nonpharmacological intervention that is safe and effective at reducing misalignments in the body, especially the spine, to allow the body to function at its 100% potential. By addressing the body’s misalignment with an adjustment, proper neurological and musculoskeletal function can be restored. The adjustment, which can be done by hand or with instruments and chiropractic tables to assist, is the primary treatment used to resolve these misalignments.

Some people seek out chiropractic services after a car accident, when dealing with chronic pain, or as a last resort when other treatments prove unsuccessful. While those patients are all great candidates for care, the best situation is for people to get chiropractic regularly before they are in pain, also referred to as wellness care, to avoid progressing to a state that requires more intensive treatment. Chiropractic care is hygiene for the spine and body like dentistry is for the teeth and mouth.

Blair Upper Cervical

Upper cervical chiropractic care is a group of related techniques that focus on adjusting and correcting misalignments at the connection between the head and neck. The Blair Upper Cervical Technique specifically involves analyzing each person’s unique anatomy and structure to customize their adjustment specifically for them.

The Blair Upper Cervical Technique is recognized by the International Chiropractic Association’s Council on Upper Cervical Care and continued education and training for doctors is provided by the Blair Upper Cervical Society.

The unique anatomy at the top of our neck allows for mobility that helps us with daily tasks in the modern world: turning to change lanes, texting family and friends, or working on our computer. To have this mobility, it is also less structurally stable and that is why it is important to get your cervical spine checked for misalignments. Because of the advanced imaging and training, Dr. Grey’s use of the Blair technique means there is no twisting, cracking or popping of the neck. It is gentle and effective.

For every inch of forward head posture, it can increase the weight of the head on the spine by an additional ten pounds.
